Advanced Tools of Persuasion in the Collaborative Process

Led by Jennifer Winestone, Esq., LL.M. (Dispute Resolution)

Weapons of influence or tools of persuasion?  Join us, as we examine together Robert Cialdini’s principles of influence and how they can apply to, impact, and shape the collaborative process.

Jennifer Winestone is an attorney and mediator in Los Angeles with a Master of Laws in Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute at Pepperdine Law School.  In addition to her private practice, Jennifer co-created the curriculum for USC Gould Law School’s Divorce and Family Mediation class for which she also serves as adjunct lecturer.  As a LACFLA board member, Jennifer is proud to be amongst peers who, like her, understand the significance of the psychology of conflict and negotiation on legal processes and resolutions.  She is excited to lead this discussion on Cialdini’s principles.  Together, we will examine how we can use the tools of persuasion to advance our skills as persuasive negotiators in the collaborative process – and be more mindful of how these same weapons of influence can impact our own decision-making in the process.
