About Brett:
My purpose is to provide education and support to bring clarity to your divorce so that you can move forward confidently. Life satisfaction is at the heart of my work as a divorce financial planner. I strive to deliver creative solutions and strategies to optimize your financial situation with patience and support, which is particularly important when one spouse has less financial understanding than the other. This helps you to arrive at a settlement that is fully understood by all with a clear view of your financial future.
Bio
Mr. Cicinelli has worked with some of the most successful people and businesses around the world. He brings over two decades of financial and analytical experience to work for clients and teaches a course on Alternative Investing Strategies (real estate, private equity, etc.) for UCLA Extension. Previously, he was a Managing Director with one of Europe’s most successful families at their Eagle Advisors family office. Mr. Cicinelli drove asset allocation decisions across the firm, utilizing outside managers through an “endowment style” investment model. Additionally, he launched and managed the firm’s direct stock-picking strategies. Prior to joining the European family office, he was employed with Reed Conner & Birdwell Investment Management as an equity and bond analyst, and portfolio manager for high net worth individuals and institutional clients. Mr. Cicinelli held similar positions with Prudential Securities and Credit Suisse First Boston, within the investment banks’ equity research departments. He grew up as a fourth-generation member of his family’s business in Michigan and later helped facilitate the sale of the business. Mr. Cicinelli graduated from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business with a BBA and an emphasis in finance and accounting. His interests include painting, fly-fishing, and spending time with his children. Confluence donates 1% of all divorce financial planning revenue to the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law, where Brett is a volunteer.
